The rooster's suit is meticulously constructed from a collage of laser-printed papers, showcasing a variety of textures and patterns within the monochromatic pink palette. The head, a detailed halftone-printing of the artist's illustration, finished the image off. The background, created using a unique technique where oil pastel spots are transferred to a gel plate, adds a playful dimension to the composition.
This one-of-a-kind monoprint is crafted using the collagraph technique with a gel plate. The artist meticulously constructs a textured surface, incorporating various materials, onto which the image is then pressed.
